A structured conversation with someone who knows what they are listening for. No test paper, no multiple choice, no score read out at you.

You get your level in writing afterwards, next to a recommendation — never as a verdict said out loud across a table.

    Eight minutes of argument and hypothesis — and one moment where we disagree with you on purpose. What comes back is the most informative thing in the conversation.

  4. 4Your own account

    Three minutes on where your English fails you. Usually the most useful three minutes of the twenty.
