Windsor Academy of English Excellence — English for Professionals

Formats and cohorts

How long, how many, and where.

One authored course, compiled at three lengths. Which one is right depends on your level at intake and how much of your calendar you can defend.

Four professionals around a table mid-task, one timing the exercise on a wristwatch.
Stage 5 — production under pressure. Timed, unrehearsed, no notes.

Three formats

One course, compiled at the length you can commit to.

Not three different products. The same authored material, compiled to twelve, sixteen or twenty-six lessons, with the specialist areas unlocking as the course gets longer.

  • Short Course

    Core areas

    12lessons

    18 contact hours

The essential professional acts of your role. The easiest one to get signed off by an employer.

  • Intensive

    Core + extended

    16lessons

    24 contact hours

Adds the standard professional scope around the core. The usual choice for a competent B2.

  • Full Semester

    Everything

    26lessons

    39 contact hours

Adds the specialist, senior and compliance-facing areas. A real commitment, and the one that changes how you are heard.

Two courses — Call Centre and Career & Interview English — stop at sixteen lessons. That is by design, not an omission: neither has a specialist tier worth a further ten weeks of your evenings.

Groups of four to eight

Below four, the multi-party tasks stop working. Above eight, speaking time per person drops below what the fee justifies, so we split the cohort rather than take the extra learners.

On-site at Krupnicza 14 in Kraków, or online.

Closed cohort

One employer, one team. Tasks can name your company's actual processes, and the room already shares the context.

Open cohort

Mixed employers, enrolled individually. You hear how a different company handles the same escalation — that cross-company exposure is a selling point, not a compromise.

One-to-one tuition is available as a priced premium option.

Class size 48.

One lesson, ninety minutes

Every lesson ends with you doing the thing.

Not knowing about it. Doing it — under time pressure, unrehearsed, with someone pushing back. The seven stages run in this order every week, so you always know where you are.

  1. 1Retrieval warm-up

    10 min

Last week's language, cold, before anything new. Retrieval is what makes it stick.

  2. 2Authentic input

    15 min

A real genre from your profession — the email, the call, the report — read or heard as it actually occurs.

  3. 3Lexis & collocation

    15 min

Not words. Chunks, with the collocation and a sentence showing the word doing its job.

  4. 4Register & pragmatics

    15 min

The ladder. Same content, four distances, chosen on purpose.

  5. 5Production under pressure

    20 min

Timed, unrehearsed, with a consequence. No notes, no preparation. This stage is never cut.

    Never cut

  6. 6Feedback & error log

    10 min

What you actually said, written down by you, with the teacher. Three strikes turns a slip into a pattern.

  7. 7Field Task

    5 min

The week's work set and explained. Thirty minutes, and half of it happens at your desk at work.

Twenty minutes on the phone or across a table. You will leave it knowing exactly where your English gives way — and that is worth having whether or not you enrol with us.
