Course
Information & Communication Technology
Being understood by people who are not technical
All sixteen professionsMost engineers in Kraków are not held back by their English vocabulary. They are held back by having to explain a risk to a business stakeholder, push back on a deadline set by someone senior, or run an incident bridge where nobody can see anyone's face.
By the end you can —
- Run an incident bridge call and keep it on the problem
- Tell a stakeholder the date is not achievable, and be believed rather than resented
- Explain a technical risk to someone who will decide whether to fund it
- Close a service-desk ticket with a user who is not satisfied but is finished
