Record to Report (R2R)

Мета уроку, як її сформульовано — learner can flag a close task that is going to miss, early enough for somebody to act on it — naming what is at risk, what they need and from whom, by when, and what happens if it does not arrive — instead of reporting progress and adding reassurance.

    Sentences nobody can act on
    • "We're still waiting on HR Services."
    • "We'll keep you posted."
    • "I'm sure they'll come back to us shortly."
    • "Nothing to worry about at this stage."

    All true. All polite. All inert.

    The flag is the favour

      Softening a flag is not kindness to your reader. It is protection for you — and it removes their chance to fix it while fixing it is still cheap.

      Task: the WD2 close call

        20 minutes. No preparation. Roles are assigned now. It is 09:50 on WD2. The escalation deadline is 10:00. Come out of the call with a date and a name — or with the risk on the record.

          Part A · Desk — 20 min. In the booklet. Part B · Live — 10 min at work. Use it for real this week. Reviewed at the start of Lesson 3. Part A is not collected.
